Woman passenger, 27, killed in Bronx car collision; pedestrian, 60, fatally struck by driver in Brooklyn

A woman died in the Bronx after a driver smashed into the car she was riding in, and a pedestrian was struck and killed by a driver in Brooklyn hours apart early Saturday, cops said.
In the first incident, a 43-year-old man driving a 2011 Lincoln MKX was heading north on Castle Hill Ave. when he struck a 2017 Infiniti QX60 going west on Randall Ave. in Castle Hill at about 12:50 a.m., cops said.
The impact sent the Infiniti, driven by a 27-year-old man, careening in a northwest direction before it struck a parked, unoccupied 2018 Honda Pilot.
The Lincoln also continued northwest before smacking into two parked, unoccupied cars.
Medics rushed the 27-year-old Infiniti driver and his female passenger, Dorilys Ramos, also 27, to NYC Health + Hospitals/ Jacobi. Ramos, who lived nearby in Clason Point, in the Bronx, was pronounced dead at the hospital. The Infiniti driver was in stable condition.
Medics also rushed the 43-year-old Lincoln driver, Dimas Cuadrado, and his 37-year-old female passenger to the same hospital, where they were in stable condition. A 41-year-old man also riding in the Lincoln was uninjured in the crash.
Police arrested Cuadrado, who lives in Castle Hill, in the Bronx, following the accident and charged him with criminally negligent homicide, vehicular manslaughter, vehicular assault, driving while intoxicated and driving while ability impaired. His arraignment was pending in Bronx Criminal Court.
Hours later, a 23-year-old Mercedes-Benz driver was heading south on Flatbush Ave. near the Belt Parkway entrance near Floyd Bennett Field when he smacked into a 60-year-old man at about 3:46 a.m., police said.
Medics pronounced the pedestrian dead at the scene. They rushed the 23-year-old Mercedes driver to Brookdale Hospital where he was in stable condition.
The victim’s identity is being withheld as cops work to track down his family to notify them first.
